Mini-Rituals

Wedding Ring and ribbons on small cushion

Enhance your wedding with a mini ritual - a beautiful inclusion in the ceremony and truly symbolic. There are many rituals to choose from, the hard part is deciding which!

Here are just a few of the many that may be incorporated into your wedding ceremony.

Please note that Mini-Rituals come as an extra add-on cost to the basic ceremony.

Handtying

An ancient Celtic ritual standing face to face while your hands are tied together with coloured ribbons or cord of your choice. Hence “tying the knot”!

This really is fun and can include input from family members if you wish. The knot formed by the ribbons being a symbol of your everlasting love, becomes a valued souvenir of the day.

Unity Sand Ceremony

Couple pouring coloured sand from vials into heart shaped glass container

A lovely tradition with both partners pouring coloured sand of your choice into a central vessel to unite.

A great way to involve children or other family members who pour their own sand into the unity vessel since it represents the blending and joining of individuals and the creation of a new union and family.

Again, you are left with a lovely keepsake of the day that has special meaning.

Jumping the Broom

A time honoured tradition in which the happy couple jump over a broom on the ground, symbolising a leap into a new beginning.

A particularly lovely idea is for guests to write messages on gift tags which are tied onto the broom before your ceremony.

Take a deep breath, hold hands and jump. What a fabulous photo opportunity!
